Sharing Reports
Overview
In this guide, we will examine how you can share and update reports with different team members. Before getting started, you will need to have already created a report. You can use your own, or you can follow the steps in the Creating a Report guide (Reporting Epics for a Single Project). The steps will be independent of any JQL sourcing, but this guide will use the report from the Reporting Epics guide to examine specifics.
Saving a Report
Status Reports allows you to save reports for easy returnability and enables teams to share and modify single reports. To create a saved report,
Click “Create new report”:
provide a name:
Click “Confirm”:
Once saved, the name of the report should appear above the controls. Your report is now sharable.
Status reports does not save your data in its servers. All data saved by Status Reports, including saved reports, is stored in Jira. For more on how to create and save reports, see: Saved Reports
Sharing a Report
There are two different ways you can go about sharing a report:
Sharing the URL: Status reports are designed to support deep linking fully within the app. To share the current report, simply send your team members the page URL.
Shared Reports List: You can also share the name of the report, and your team member can find the name in this list of saved reports
Updating a Shared Report
Reports are referenced internally by an app-generated ID. This ensures that any updates to a saved report persist and are immediately viewable on all devices. Updating a report can be done by changing any of the report settings or JQL.
Then click “Save report”:
Click “Save changes”:
Once saved, the updates to the report can be seen across all device on page refresh.
